Connor Leahy described a 2024 goal for Conjecture’s Cognitive Emulation (CoEm): develop a commercial AI product and support rules allowing AI demonstrated not to be superintelligent while banning systems unable to show that property. His March 2026 retrospective presents a conditional ambition, not evidence that a product met the standard.
